1. whereing: (V) - the act of being in a location, usually given as response to a question as to one's activity, i.e., Q: "What are you up to?" A: "We're outside the cafe." 2. whereing: (V) - the asking of this question, as a necessarily repetitive or ritualistic checking in - the constant re-coordinating of one's peers, co-workers, friends, and community, particularly as a means of locating oneself in relation to the community and more specifically its goings-on (see definition 1), figuring out where things are happening where one may or may not want to be, etc.
